New pots.....

I have spent most of today unloading my kiln, and being shot and interviewed by RCC photog student Ashley Garner while doing so. Ashley took some waaay cool photos that I'm looking forward to posting here as well - like pictures of me holding a chicken under one arm and a chicken-inspired tray in the other. Stay tuned for those. The images below are just a few of the pieces I fired on Wednesday. Instead of setting up my equipment in front of the graduated background, with special lighting and everything, this time I just shot them on the floor of my kiln shed, right beside my kiln. Enjoy.

Making cruets.....

I think a lot of people are surprised to hear that one of the top photography departments in the country is at Randolph Community College in Asheboro, just 15 minutes north of Seagrove. Ashley Garner, a second year student at RCC, dropped by the other day to shoot a few images for a school project. She also took some of Pat firing the kiln, and I'll post those when I get them.
